Sports Betting NFL Predictions...

It is very hard to predict what will happen in the NFL.. every year, something unforseen occurs. We have the draft, which brings a certain amount of parity to the league, add to that relationships between players, coaches and family, then throw a few injuries into the pot...you begin to see why. If you look through last year's pre season articles and magazines you'll see that many predicted big trouble for San Diego...they ended up going 12-4...some had written off the Pats to win Super Bowl for the third time in four years...you know what happened..

You might as well go for the big prices - for the outsiders for the value when betting on this competition. The margin in a teams ability at +1500 (15/1) in some cases is not that much better than that at +5000 (50/1) - you just need to work out 'which team'! . Training camp is a good place to start.

Dolphin Returns To Ocean

Running back Ricky Williams has been cleared by the NFL to report for training on Sunday with the rest of the Miami Dolphins team - a year after he suddenly retired.

Williams rushed for a combined 3,225 yards and 25 touchdowns during his two seasons with Miami.

Williams decided to seek reinstatement after sitting out last season. He still faces a four game suspension for violating the NFL substance abuse program.

"We've taken the steps necessary to ensure an on-time arrival, and he's excited about rejoining his team," said Williams' agent, Leigh Steinberg.

NFL Football Games Abroad?

The NFL stated again on Friday that if its first regular season game abroad is successful, it could be the start of a broader plan. An NFL spokesman stated that the NFL '...is going to look at all markets interested in hosting games around the world' this would include Europe, Canada and Asia. The Oct. 2 game between the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers, is to be the first regular-season contest outside the United States - held in the Azteca stadium, Mexico City.

Superbowl Lines

According to USA Today well known sports analyst Dan Sheridan gives last year's two Super Bowl teams the best shot of winning this season's big game. He gives New England and Philadelphia both 6/1 odds. That is if Eagles wide receiver Terrell Owens (31) decides he can do without his millions in salary and sits out this season in protest of his contract situation. Sheridan said:

"Without Owens, the Eagles are still the best team in the NFC. But I'd drop their chances of winning to 8/1."
