Broken Bear

St. Louis: Grossman broke his left ankle on Friday night, the second serious injury in as many seasons for the Bears' potentially promising quarterback. He'll be out three to four months, which just about washes out the season.

Jets Lay Down Law...

The New York Jets signed cornerback Ty Law on Monday to a multiyear contract in the hope that Law will help close the gap on New England rivals the Patriots.

The Jets are gambling that Law is fully recovered from a broken foot suffered in October and that he can return to being one of the league's best cornerbacks. Many teams passed on him this offseason despite his status as a four-time Pro Bowler.
